Meet The Team
Co-founded BBM in 2016 following her own experience of living in a managed housing development. She has applied her 16 years experience as a top flight administrator in banking and local government to creating systems that enable clients to get the information and service she looked for as a homeowner.
Our newest team member who brings valuable construction industry knowledge which she is eager to put to use having already proven herself as a formidable go-getter and people manager in her previous role
Each managing agent is the first point of contact for a small portfolio of housing developments. Our innovative IT systems enable each agent to wear the many hats needed in block management but also collaborate with team members as needed or fill in for absences.
Some of the roles we juggle roles every day are; customer service advisor, lease enforcer, record keeper, educator, meeting chair, debt collector, company secretary, contract manager, insurance administrator, mediator, project manager, paralegal, problem solver, risk assessor. Needless to say every day flies by and it never gets boring!
Where To Find Us
We are incredibly lucky to be registered at the Ecos Centre, Ballymena managed by Catalyst Inc. Set in beautiful parkland yet only a ten minute walk from the centre of Ballymena, there is plenty of parking and state of the art meeting rooms. Close proximity to the M2 means we can extend our catchement area and still be within 20 minutes drive from each development. Where It All Started
Ballymena Block Management Ltd was formed in October 2016 by Becky and Sarah, a chartered building surveyor and local government officer who had separately realised a market gap existed for ethical block management. As a Chartered Building Surveyor Becky was encountering property sales falling through due to problems with the management company. Meanwhile Sarah was a director in her own development’s management company and experienced the headache of trying to find a new managing agent that delivered on customer service.
The first client was signed in April 2017 and the portfolio of developments has grown steadily since then. Starting out in Ballymena was the ideal seedbed for any service that must deliver value for money! So watching every penny on behalf of clients is built into our ethos and pushed us to find cost saving solutions. Our local knowledge, close proximity to sites, a supply of trusted contractors and local government contacts has enabled us to outperform bigger firms based further afield.
